Filled with wonders at every turn to inspire and educate you, we have over 50,000 items in our collection with something to delight everyone, from paintings and sculpture to fashion and textiles, furniture, ceramics and silver and metals. We run family friendly exhibitions and events and have lots of outdoor space.
Other Facilities: Inside: Café Bowes, shop, children’s activities throughout Museum – dressing up, colouring in, trails and puzzles to name but a few. Outside: garden games, play area, picnic areas, woodland walks, nature and fairy trails in our 20 acres of parkland.
