Why do it?

One of the things people love about Family Explorers is we get to see honest reviews of days out from other north east families just like us.

They’re completely independent so we know they can be trusted.

Leaving a review also gives us a chance to have our say and tell others what we thought of our day out.

Plus the project partners get to see what they might be getting right or wrong for family visitors so their offering to us can get better and better.

How to leave a review

1. WRITE A REVIEW

Write a review as long or short as you like. Include a picture or a whole gallery if you want to.

2. SCORE THE VENUE

For inspiration you can go to fun tools and print out the 1-10 scorecards. Then at the venue, you or the kids can hold up a score and take a picture with it just like on Strictly!

3. GET THE KIDS INVOLVED!

If you need some ideas on what to say, kids can have a go at filling out the fun feedback form first.

4. SUBMIT YOUR REVIEW

To submit your review, just post it on the Family Explorers Facebook Group. If you don’t use Facebook, you can email it to Family Explorers via the envelope icon at the bottom of this webpage. Then we’ll share it with other Explorers on Facebook and via the weekly e-newsletter.

REVIEW GALLERY

Here are some examples of reviews people have left before. There’s lots more on the Facebook Group.
There’s no right or wrong way to do it – a picture, 3 words or a whole page. It’s up to you. Just go for it!

the walkers have been on abit of a explorers trek! started at shipley art gallery…could only really spend an hour there as not alother 4 7year olds;more suited younger kiddies, had nice seated area for very young ones with gated off play area. nice gift shop but no kofi shop :+( nice grandfather clock that chimes and few activities that be more appreciated by under 5s. staff told us all about a new “green explorer scheme” which will post about once covered our other two family explorer destinations of today!!

Fantastic day at Woodhorn Colliery’s Invasion Event. Can’t believe the whole thing was free (£3 parking charge). Loads of characters around, from Batman through Star Wars, Dr Who, Predator, and even saw Freddie Kreuger. Talks were interesting and funny. Bug hunt chasing after the Predator character was hilarious. Cafe was reasonably priced aswell. We will be going back one day soon to see the actual colliery itself now

We had a great bank hol at the Baltic and sage! Family explorers put on a great room of activities for our girls and were brill hosts, especially the ‘alien’ went down well with Naomi our 5yr old!!! We managed to sneak a peak at the cake city and the girls loved the buildings made of cake.the Baltic also had a great picnic area for the girls to drink their own made smoothies….they had to ride a bike to mix the fruit up!!!! Fluorescent city was a hit too and they made models to take home!!! A definite 10/10 from libby 8yrs and Naomi 5yrs and us parents!!!!!
